rental policies

1. Credit Card Authorization

To secure your rental, you are required to complete and sign our online Rental Agreement and Credit Card Authorization form. We do not accept cash payments—a valid credit card must be kept on file.


  • A $25 non-refundable deposit will be charged to your card at the time of booking.
  • The remaining balance will be automatically charged upon the costume’s return.
     

By signing the authorization form, you agree that Party Pals CT LLC is authorized to charge your card for the full rental amount, including any applicable late, damage, or replacement fees.


If your card is declined, blocked by your bank, or fails to process any charges, Party Pals CT LLC reserves the right to suspend further services and pursue legal action to collect the balance owed, including applicable legal fees.

2. Rental Terms and Fees

The rental period is defined as one day per mascot character, per event. The Client agrees to return the mascot costume(s) on the agreed-upon return date and time. Late returns will incur additional fees, as outlined below.


Reservation Fee
A non-refundable $25 reservation fee will be charged at the time of booking. This fee will be credited toward the total rental price of the costume(s).

Total Charges
The total rental fee will be finalized upon the return of the costume(s) and after verifying the condition, including any late return fees or charges for cleaning and damage. The final charges will be based on the following:


  • Base Rental Price: $125 per day, per mascot character
  • Late Return Fees: $25 per day (if applicable)
  • Minor Damage Fees: $25–$75 (if applicable)
  • Full Replacement Fee for Lost or Severely Damaged Costumes: $300 per costume
     

By accepting the rental, you acknowledge that all mascot costumes, including any accessories such as shoes, gloves, and other items provided, remain the property of Party Pals CT LLC. Failure to return the mascot costume and associated accessories by the agreed-upon return date and time will be considered theft by deception. Legal action will be taken in such cases. A $25 late fee will be charged for each day the costume and accessories are not returned after the scheduled date. If the costume and accessories are not returned within three days, they will be deemed lost, and a $300 replacement fee will be charged to the credit card on file.

3. ID Verification Requirement

At the time of pick-up, a valid Driver’s License or State-Issued ID matching the rental agreement must be presented.


A copy of the ID will be securely kept on file for the duration of the rental period. This helps protect both parties and ensures accountability.

4. Rescheduling & Cancellations

Rescheduling: You may reschedule your rental at least 48 hours before the scheduled pickup date. Requests made within 48 hours of the scheduled pickup will be treated as a cancellation.


Cancellations: If you cancel your rental, the $25 non-refundable reservation fee will not be applied toward future rentals. Cancellations made less than 48 hours before the scheduled pickup may incur additional charges.

5. Cleaning & Sanitizing

All costumes undergo professional cleaning and sanitization after each use, as well as 48 hours prior to each rental. Please do not attempt to clean the costumes before, during, or after your event.


To avoid damage or additional fees, ensure that costumes are stored in a safe, clean, and dry environment, away from:


  • Dirt, spills, and food.
  • Bugs, pets, or insects.
  • BBQ grills, fumes, or other hazardous areas.
     

If costumes are returned with damage, including but not limited to:

  • Stains (makeup, grass, or extreme dirt)
  • Rips, burns, or any lingering odors (such as smoke from tobacco or marijuana)
     

A minimum fee of $50 will be charged. However, if a costume is returned with any trace of weed or cigarette smoke, a mandatory $100 deep-cleaning fee will be applied, and future rental privileges may be revoked. Severe damage (such as the removal of badges, buttons, medallions, trim, pockets, or any features) will also incur a $100 fee. Any damage caused by improper storage or exposure to hazards may result in additional repair or replacement fees.  

We appreciate your cooperation in keeping our costumes in top condition.

7. Optional Delivery & Pickup Service

To provide added convenience, we offer a Delivery & Pickup service for mascot costume rentals.
Service fees are as follows:


  • Up to 25 miles from our Cheshire, CT location: $60
  • Up to 40 miles from our Cheshire, CT location: $85
     

(We do not travel beyond 40 miles under any circumstances.)

The delivery fee covers one scheduled delivery before your event and one scheduled pickup after your event. Deliveries are typically made on Fridays, and pickups are typically made on Mondays.


Delivery & Pickup Terms:


  • Delivery and pickup must occur at the same residential address listed on your rental agreement. No exceptions will be made.
  • The delivery address must match the residential address provided at booking.
  • At the time of delivery, a valid Driver’s License or State-Issued ID must be presented. The ID must match both the name and address on the rental agreement.
  • Alternate locations for pickup or return (including but not limited to family homes, businesses, or friends' residences) are not permitted.
  • The Delivery & Pickup fee will be automatically added to your rental balance and charged to the credit card on file prior to delivery.
     

Additional Notes:


  • Delivery services are offered at our discretion and may be declined based on distance, scheduling conflicts, or other operational considerations.
